Candidates
As Sentimental Head-hunters, we conduct two types of searches: an “active search” for our Clients; and a “passive search” for those who join our Network as “Affiliates” in order to become a Candidate eligible to be introduced to our Clients.
Our Network is made up of people with characteristics similar to those of our Clients, and with the same objective: meeting the right person to build up a long lasting sentimental relationship.
Therefore, when we identify a potential Match between our Clients and one of our Affiliates, our Matchmakers contact them to carry out the pertinent interviews and verify if, indeed, the profiles are aligned in personality, lifestyle, expectations and others contemplated parameters. And only when we consider that there is maximum compatibility, these Affiliates become Candidates and can be introduced to our Client.
This can happen immediately or in the future, depending on the Profiles requested by our Clients and those of the Affiliates. And, as in any professional Head-hunting process during the selection of senior executives, we cannot offer guarantees of introductions to all our Affiliates.

WHAT MATCHMAKING IS AND WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?
Matchmaking is a new business model with deep roots in the US and Northern Europe, where it has been proving its effectiveness for more than two decades, for those who are seriously looking for a stable partner and want to do so privately and confidentially. Therefore, it is not a Dating Website or a Marriage Agency.
It was brought to Spain in 2013 by Alcanda Matchmaking, which went further by developing its exclusive Head-hunting Sentimental© to satisfy a type of client with very particular needs. This method adapts the techniques commonly used in Executive Search (Head Hunting or Talent Hunting) to the European reality, very different from that of the US, to find the “right person” and thus be able to achieve a perfect match.
Therefore, Matchmaking is a service specially conceived for demanding, high-level people who value their time and privacy, and who have not lost the illusion of finding that special person to share their life but do not have the time or the desire necessary to look for it themselves.
WHY USE MATCHMAKING TO FIND A LIFE PARTNER?
In a world of online dating, reality shows and where the media has made relationships banal, meeting people is becoming easier, what is difficult is meeting the right person.
To this, we must add the new impediments to interact on a social level after the COVID-19 pandemic. This new situation has marked us on a professional level, but, above all, on a personal level since the harsh and prolonged confinements that we have suffered, have further favored the use of online media to make virtual connections, leaving personal interaction almost relegated to zero.
Matchmaking is a new way to unite two people with a higher probability of success as it is based on the real analysis of their personalities and life goals. This process is carried out, at the right time, in a face-to-face meeting, being the preferred method of many people who prefer personal treatment and knowledge to the detriment of the virtual one.
Matchmaking has been used in the United States for more than two decades, and is being implemented in more and more countries in Asia and Europe, being the preferred method of high caliber people, which indicates its effectiveness.
HOW DOES ALCANDA MATCHMAKING PROTECT MY PERSONAL DATA?
At Alcanda Matchmaking we take the privacy of our Clients, Candidates and Affiliates very seriously. To do this, apart from rigorously complying with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, of the European Parliament and of the Council, of April 27, 2016, we have implemented two levels of security on our website as well as during the operational processes of our Sentimental Head-hunting Method:
- Computer-level protection through Thawte’s SSL 123 Security Certificate, the most advanced encryption system that guarantees secure communications between the server and the user and prevents others from capturing, reading or manipulating the data provided to us on our website..
- Operational processes protection through which all interviews are conducted in person so, once we have told you about our Client, you can decide whether or not you want us to share your Profile in a blind manner (without data that can identify you).It is important to know that only when we obtain your consent, and on a case-by-case basis, we will share your personal data with our Client to ensure it meets his/her criteria and he/she desires meeting you in person.
DO I HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING AS AN AFFILIATE OR CANDIDATE?
No at all. As an Affiliate, and potential Candidate, you do not have to pay anything, neither when you join our Network by completing the Affiliation Questionnaire, nor when you are introduced to one of our exclusive Clients.
However, remember that by not hiring our services, we cannot guarantee that we will introduce you to our Clients as you are part of the “passive”, not active, search.
WHAT GUARANTEES DOES ALCANDA MATCHMAKING OFFER ME AS AN AFFILIATE?
As an Affiliate and potential Candidate, since your are not hiring our services to carry out an active search, we cannot guarantee that we will introduce you to people who fit your “ideal partner” profile, but we will only contact you when one of our Clients ask us for a profile like yours.
In that moment, we will contact you in order to conduct a personal interview to assess your compatibility in more important issues than those asked in the Questionnaire.
HOW DOES THE SENTIMENTAL HEAD-HUNTING© WORK?
Head-hunting Sentimental Method© works exactly like as in Executive Search companies since we hold several meetings with our Client, and later with the Candidates, but with a different objective; find the perfect combination of two people so that they can embark on a life project together, instead of filling a job vacancy.
Therefore, the process is based on a deep knowledge of our Clients and Candidates wishes, which is carried out mainly in person in an environment of absolute Respect, Honesty, Privacy and Confidentiality, our corporate values.
Once we have met with our Client and we have understood their wishes, requirements, life objectives, etc. we analize their profile, as well as that of their “ideal partner”, to let them know, with all honesty and in a private and confidentially manner if they are being realistic in the parameters requested about their future partner, but above all, if we can seriously help achieving their personal goals.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEING AN AFILIATE OR A CANDIDATE?
Affiliates are those who are part of our private Network without hiring our services, because they would like to meet one of our exclusive Clients.
Candidates are Affiliates who have been interviewed in person to be introduced to a particular Client. Upon passing the different interviews, they become Candidates for the Client for whom they were interviewed for but also for a future Client, in case the first introduction did not resulted in a Match.
All our Candidates and Candidates, as well as our Clients, are people of high socio-cultural level who are ready for a serious long-lasting relationship.
Our Network of Candidates is made up of thousands of people residing in different countries, not only in Spain.
BEING A CANDIDATE, CAN I LATER BECOME A CLIENT?
Of course you can. Besides, as a Candidate, you have most likely already experienced how our Sentimental Head Hunting Method© works, which will make it more comfortable for you to make the decision based on your own experience, because, as a Candidate, you would have experienced first-hand how the search for your own Candidates will be like.
